Ken is a second-generation dance instructor, has a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of
Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business and a Master’s Degree in business administration
from Florida International University. 

 
He served as the Marketing Director for the International Franchise Headquarters of the Arthur
Murray Dance Studios for 7 years, consulting studio owners around the globe and training the
country’s top dance teachers. 


He has served as USA Dance’s Director of Publicity, Vice-President of DanceSport, Senior Vice-
President, President, and the National DanceSport Delegate to the US Olympic Committee.
In this role, Ken administered the DanceSport Council, the National DanceSport Rulebook and
the National DanceSport Championships, along with the athlete participation of the athletes in
the World Games and the Paris Olympic Games.


Ken is the only person ever elected from the floor of the meeting to the Presidium of the World
DanceSport Federation (WDSF) – a role he served in for 7 years.


In 2007, Ken and his wife, Roseanna Richards, opened the BlueBallRoom Dance Studio and Club.
The studio is recognized as one of the top studios in the Nation for Student Medalist Exams and
the development of top athletes, while showcasing up-and-coming professionals.


In 2015, after extensive studies in Europe, Ken became the first Certified Technical Examiner for
the WDSF in the USA. He maintains his licensing credentials through active participation and
ongoing training.
